Samantha Darrough
Samantha entered the mortgage industry in 2016 after nine years of teaching English and history to middle schoolers. At that time, she moved to Charlotte and began working as a licensed Loan Officer Assistant on Team LBD, where she honed by skills and learned from the best in the business. Samantha moved back to Wilmington in 2018, where she lives and works today. Although she lives on the coast, she is licensed in NC and VA and continues to help clients all across our great state.
Samantha loves helping her customers finance their homes. Whether it be first-time home buyers, people purchasing their dream home, customers finally buying that perfect vacation spot, or investors expanding their portfolios, she believes that her job allows her to assist these borrowers in one of the most exciting purchases they will make. After spending time elsewhere, Samantha is thrilled to be back on Team LBD and with American Security Mortgage. Since her arrival, her clients and referral partners have all noticed the difference in rates, service, and the overall commitment from everyone working on their file. Samantha finds it a JOY to be a part of such a well-oiled machine.
Though Samantha is a Belmont, North Carolina native, she has called Wilmington her home most of her adult life. After attending UNCW, she knew she never wanted to live anywhere else. Samantha and her husband, Will, were married in 2019 and have two daughters, Anna and Elizabeth. When Samantha is not traveling, you can find her on the water most weekends, soaking up the beauty that is Wilmington with her family.
